Community Engagement：This project investigates how pedagogy-driven instructional design frameworks can support the effective integration of AI, Virtual Reality (VR), and Learning Management Systems (LMS) within emerging Digital Learning Ecosystems. It addresses the gap between rapidly advancing technological capabilities and their effective pedagogical implementation in higher education. Using a Type 1 Developmental Research approach, the study draws on 13 case studies developed within the Huyi Community and examines learning prototypes combining open-source LMS infrastructure, AI tools, and immersive VR environments.The project identifies key technical and methodological challenges while demonstrating the importance of aligning pedagogical objectives, technological affordances, and institutional infrastructure. It proposes a collaborative, multidisciplinary and iterative prototyping approach in which pedagogy leads technology, providing practical design principles for developing more effective, scalable, and sustainable AI-enabled learning experiences in higher education.
